Today marks the start of a new month, but for me and millions of others around the world, it’s the first day of #PlasticFreeJuly.
The goal of this challenge is to reduce everyday single-use plastic waste in our environment: at home, work, school/uni, and local cafes and bars.
What I love about Plastic Free July is there are so many ways to be involved and participate. The best part is it’s totally free and if anything you’ll save money (reusable drink bottle means no buying bottled water #winning). Every switch you make to a non-plastic alternative big or small makes a difference. It’s also an excellent way to spark a conversation and spread awareness about the harming effects of plastic not only to the earth itself but to our bodies and the many animal species on land and sea.
Be part of the solution to plastic pollution and join me in taking part of #PlasticFreeJuly. For more information check out plasticfreejuly.org
